Mark Hurtzel

Mark joined Woodhaven in 2022 as Project Manager, bringing over 25 years of general contracting experience in commercial and residential construction. In addition to Mark’s experience as owner/operator of a successful general contracting business, Mark served as Regional Director of Site Acquisition for Nasdaq listed, fixed-wireless telecom giants Winstar and Teligent for the Metropolitan New York marketplace. Mark led 40+ member teams of real estate specialists in acquiring building and rooftop access, and broadcast air-rights into hundreds of Class A and B commercial office properties.
Mark’s diverse wealth of knowledge helps contribute to every phase of Woodhaven’s project development from due diligence; design concept; permitting and close-out expediting; project mobilization; contractor and vendor oversight; to the delivery of exceptional properties.
As Woodhaven’s portfolio of successful projects has grown rapidly, Mark’s role has as well. Mark’s construction management responsibilities have been combined with Woodhaven’s expanding operational needs. In his current role as Director of Operations, Mark continues to assist in all phases of the construction process while also overseeing the cradle-to-grave life cycle of Woodhaven properties from acquisition through premises delivery. This includes property management, maintenance, insurance, bonding and tenant relations.
In his personal life, Mark and his wife enjoy all the activities and amenities the Lake Norman area offers, as well as cooking, gardening, golfing and volunteer work.
